Faith, Family, Friends & Horses

Don't forget...this is the last week to sign up for Community Supported Agriculture at local farms! Who doesn't enjoy a basket full of vegetables every week?

Marcy Streeter of Appleridge, and her ponies, Riley and Stuffin, won the pony driving championship held this past weekend at the Ohio State Expo Center.

The Appleridge Horse Performance Team, Hearts & Horses, are invited to perform at the county fair. Contact Lainie Anderson of Lessons with Lanie for more information. Ms. Anderson encourages Appleridge residents to support our local team.

If you enjoyed Marcy Streeter's ponies, Riley and Stuffin, in the Apple Festival Parade, you'll be excited to know Riley and Stuffin are bringing Santa Claus to town this year. They work for apples!

Congratulations to Cyndi Jones, an Appleridge High School Senior, who was crowned Appleridge Apple Festival Queen. Queen Cyndi and her court will help judge the pumpkin decorating contest this week and represent Appleridge in the Richburg Christmas parade later in December.

Keep growing those pumpkins for the Appleridge pumpkin decorating contest. Entry forms will be available soon!

Congratulations! Recent Ohio State graduate, Belinda Peterson, is on her way to vet school. You can be sure her dad, Dr. Adrian Peterson, is busting at the seams proud.

News Flash...the Appleridge Apple Festival Committee has chosen "Apple of My Eye" as the theme of this year's parade. Get busy, folks!

Charlie Gantzler reports today's special at the Bake & Shake is Chili Dogs with all the trimmings.

Jennie Hope McKenzie recently graduated from Columbia College, in the big city of Chicago. Congratulations, Jennie!

The Appleridge Chamber of Commerce needs volunteers for the annual Apple Festival. Please contact the chamber today!

The "Pick the Apple Theme" contest is in full swing. Submit your idea by placing it in the large jar at the Appleridge Public Library. The Apple Festival committe will choose this year's theme at their May meeting. Good Luck!
